Very Comfortable Accommodation in the Summer Heat
/2024 - another year full of things to do in Bendigo! Each month there are numerous events happening in and around the city. Whether you’re in Bendigo for the Madison cycling event, the basketball or volleyball, the beer or wine festivals, Lost Trades, Sheep & Wool or just catching up with family or friends, Bendigo Cottages is the place to stay. The cottages have efficient heating & cooling so you don’t have to worry about the summer heat or winter chills. The gardens provide an ambient environment to sit and have a cuppa, a wine or a beer and do some reading or catch up on your devices. Free WIFI is provided and is accessible in your cottage and the garden. Both Rose and Robin's Nest cottages have a verandah while Hyacinth opens directly onto the garden and has an outdoor table and chairs. Given the close proximity to town the Cottages are amazingly quiet particularly in the evenings. Only a 15 minute walk to the centre of town, 5 minutes to the Ulumbarra Theatre and hospital and 10 minutes to the Capital Theatre and the Art Gallery means you can park your car and walk most places. Alternatively, leave your car at home and travel by train. When you stay at the Cottages you can walk or catch an UBER to get around. Come and visit us here in regional Bendigo. Enjoy what’s on offer and return in the evenings to the sanctuary of your cottage. Check out the events calendar https://www.bendigoregion.com.au/explore-bendigo/whatson Book ahead to ensure you don’t miss out. Give me a call on 0478590050 to organise your accommodation. cheers Diane
GREAT THINGS HAPPENING AT BENDIGO COTTAGES
/We have finally got our new website. It is very exciting to be able to showcase our cottages so well. Jonathon at Wizmedia has done an exceptional job and we are hoping the fantastic video he has done will show to potential guests how gorgeous our cottages are. We are also thrilled he has used his drone to show how close to the CBD, Ulumbarra Theatre, Art Gallery and the Bendigo Hospital we are. With the Maticevski Exhibition on at the Art Gallery through to November, Bendigo Cottages is the perfect place to stay. Have a great night's sleep in one of the beautiful cottages, enjoy a lazy breakfast overlooking the gardens or better still sitting in the garden, then stroll down to the Art Gallery. (10 min walk).
For all those past guests who have tried to book Hyacinth because you love it so much - good news, Hyacinth Cottage has been totally refurbished and has been back on the books since March.
Make sure you give yourself enough time. We so often hear guests saying when they leave, I wish we had have booked for more nights, there is so much to do in Bendigo. And there is! Take a look on the Bendigo Tourism website and you will be amazed at what Bendigo has to offer visitors.
Coming up on October 7th and 8th we have Heritage Uncorked. The Friday night venue at Fortuna Villa will be amazing and only a 3 minute drive from the cottages. The Saturday venues are all within a 5 to 12 minute walk. A fantastic location to enjoy the whole weekend.
